Discussions on Transit of Azerbaijani Fuel from Georgia to Armenia
The Armenian and Georgian sides have held discussions regarding the transit of Azerbaijani fuel through Georgia to Armenia. In response to an inquiry from Armenpress, the Armenian Ministry of Economy confirmed this, referring to a statement from the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
“There has been such a discussion with the Georgian side, and we have received the published information,” the ministry stated.
It is noteworthy that the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development announced that on December 5, the Georgian government received a request for a one-time transit of fuel from Azerbaijan to Armenia through its territory. Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has instructed the Georgian Railway to carry out this transit free of charge.
