Avinyan Tightens Control Over Administrative Districts
The Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, has stated that all structures under the city municipality must have a clear understanding of the issues discussed. If we talk about air quality and say that leaves should not be burned, then no city employee should later be found burning leaves.
Avinyan also addressed the quality of ongoing programs in the administrative districts. “If I go to an administrative district and indicate that there has been an issue, the head of the district must note the scale of the problem, determine what actions to take, whom to reprimand, and whom to dismiss. It is the responsibility of the district head to understand this; not everything should be pointed out with a finger, because later I have to think about what to do in terms of staffing for that district, and this applies to everyone,” he emphasized.
