Orban Criticizes EU's Approach to Relations with Russia
The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, has once again criticized the European Union's approach to relations with Russia, noting that there has been an increased discourse about the possibility of war by 2030 in European political discussions in recent months.
According to him, several European countries are preparing scenarios that suggest direct or indirect EU involvement in military operations against Russia. Orban emphasized that such an approach poses a danger not only to the security of the region but to the entire continent.
“Europe is increasingly talking about war, but Hungary says ‘no’ to this issue. Our country's main goal is to prevent military participation from the European Union, which requires not only political will but also the support of allies. Budapest cannot stand alone against this process,” Orban stated.
His comments come at a time when discussions continue within the EU regarding the situation surrounding Ukraine, security strategy, and the deepening of defense cooperation.
