Unknown Drones in Ireland Prior to Zelensky's Plane Landing
According to the BBC, Irish authorities reported the presence of unidentified drones in the country's airspace just moments before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's plane was scheduled to land in Dublin. Zelensky arrived in Ireland for an official visit earlier this week.
Government sources have confirmed the incident, though the Irish military has not commented on the information initially released by the media. The existence of the drones was also confirmed by Zelensky's adviser Dmitry Litvin.
"The receiving party is responsible for security. According to their data, there were indeed such drones, but this did not affect the visit in any way and did not require any changes to the schedule," Litvin told reporters.
The first report on the incident came from the Irish publication The Journal. According to the report, on Monday evening, as Zelensky's plane approached Dublin, four unidentified drones moved in the direction of the presidential aircraft's presumed flight path.
