Peace Between Armenia and Azerbaijan Opens New Opportunities, Says European Council Leader

Peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is opening new opportunities, announced the leader of the European Council. Progress in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a crucial condition for the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route (middle corridor).

This was stated by the President of the EU Council, Antonio Costa, in an interview with the Kazakh Silk Way television channel. “The peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan also opens new opportunities. It creates great prospects for the full development of the Trans-Caspian route, which connects Asia and Europe and leads to the Black Sea,” said Costa.

According to him, Kazakhstan has today become a key factor in Europe’s economic security. He added that the EU continues to actively invest not only in renewable energy but also in the diversification of traditional energy resource supplies.
