European Leaders Begin to Complain About Trump

European leaders are often left in the dark regarding the details of the peace process in Ukraine being conducted by U.S. President Donald Trump, relying on news reports and leaks.

The Washington Post reports, “Trump’s approach to the Ukraine situation has repeatedly left European leaders unaware, relying on leaks and news announcements about recent events, and then attempting to shape political discussions from afar that have a much more immediate impact on their voters and their continent.”

According to The Washington Post, ahead of a visit by U.S. special envoy Steve Biegun to Moscow, several NATO diplomats indicated that they were “not sure what plan he is presenting to the Kremlin.”

The newspaper notes that EU leaders have lost trust in Trump due to his unpredictable approach to resolving the Ukrainian crisis.
