Macron Discusses Situation with Trump After Meeting with Zelensky

French President Emmanuel Macron discussed the situation in Ukraine with the U.S. President after his negotiations with Vladimir Zelensky in Paris. This was mentioned in an official statement from the Élysée Palace.

Macron provided details about the issues discussed during Zelensky's visit, emphasizing that a key part of the negotiations focused on the prospects for establishing lasting and sustainable peace.

“The leaders exchanged views on the conditions for achieving lasting and sustainable peace in Ukraine, as well as the next steps in the United States’ mediation efforts,” noted the French president's office.

Macron also underscored the need for security guarantees for Ukraine and highlighted the importance of deepened cooperation with the United States.
