The conflict between Russia and Ukraine appears to have escalated to a level threatening maritime safety in the Black Sea. On Friday, an attack on commercial vessels in our exclusive economic zone has raised alarms about a troubling escalation. This was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"We cannot tolerate these attacks that threaten maritime security, people's lives, and the environment in our exclusive economic zone. We are issuing necessary warnings to all parties regarding such situations. At the same time, we are closely monitoring recent developments aimed at ending the war and have expressed our readiness to make necessary investments whenever possible," he noted.
