Latvians Prohibited from Publishing Photos of President and Prime Minister
Latvian media reports that citizens of the country are prohibited from publishing photos of President Edgars Rinkēvičs, Prime Minister Evika Siliņa, and other officials. According to media sources, officials were being photographed "too often" and without justification.
From now on, administrative fines are to be imposed for such publications, and in some cases, criminal liability will apply. The amounts of the fines and the terms of the punishments have not been disclosed.
