How the Insured Individual Can Access Insurance: Minister of Health
Within the framework of comprehensive health insurance, citizens have the opportunity to undergo mandatory examinations once a year and will subsequently have obligations, as well as benefit from screening programs. This was reported to Factinfo by Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan.
The minister outlined how an insured individual can access insurance: “When a person has certain complaints, their first contact is with the outpatient clinic or polyclinic. They should consult a family doctor, therapist, or pediatrician. After this initial stage, if the family doctor, therapist, or pediatrician sees the need and indication, they will refer the patient to further medical assistance.”
“If additional examinations are necessary or if hospital care is required, this primary level will facilitate the continued provision of medical services through referrals,” Anahit Avanesyan added.
