If EU Countries Decide to Collaborate with Russia Again, Moscow Will Not Object: Putin

If EU countries decide to collaborate with Russia again, Moscow will not object. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He emphasized that Europe must consider the situation in the Russian market, where many local businesses occupy significant market shares.

According to the Russian president, refusing to cooperate with Russia in the energy sector has negatively impacted EU countries. He cited the example of the situation in Germany, where, according to him, the economy has been in decline for three consecutive years.

In October, the EU Council approved the phased withdrawal of Russian gas starting in 2026, with a transition period until 2028. Hungary and Slovakia have expressed opposition to this plan. The Hungarian authorities stated that they will continue to purchase Russian gas, as the phased halt would cost the country 10 billion dollars.
