He Has Not Lost My Trust: Putin on Lavrov

Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed as nonsense the rumors regarding Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov losing his favor. “What nonsense. He has not lost my trust,” Putin told reporters when asked about Lavrov’s situation.

“He has his schedule. He has briefed me, stating what he will do and when he will do it,” added the Russian president.

Speculation that Lavrov no longer enjoys the president's favor emerged amid the minister's absence from the public eye.
