When Will Trump Meet With Putin and Zelensky?
I will meet with Zelensky and Putin, but only when the agreement to end this war is final. This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump.
“In the past week, my team has made significant progress towards ending the war between Russia and Ukraine. Last month, 25,000 soldiers lost their lives. The initial peace plan, consisting of 28 points developed by the United States, has been refined to include additional proposals from both sides, with only a few points of disagreement remaining. In hopes of finalizing this peace plan, I have instructed my special envoy, Steve Witkoff, to meet with President Putin in Moscow, while Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll will meet with the Ukrainians. I will be briefed on all progress along with Vice President Pence, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and White House Chief of Staff Suzy Wiles. I look forward to meeting with President Zelensky and President Putin, but only when the agreement to end this war is final or near its final phase,” the U.S. President wrote on his social media page.
