Makhachev Comments on Tsarukyan's Victory Over Hooker

The current UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev has responded to the question of whether he was impressed by Arman Tsarukyan's victory over New Zealand's Dan Hooker, who is ranked first in the lightweight category.

“Were you impressed by Arman’s victory over Hooker?”

“I expected him to win, but I didn’t think he would be so dominant. I believe Arman has already made his position clear and proved that he deserves to fight for the title. And probably next he will fight for the belt,” Makhachev is quoted by Sport24.

Recall that on November 22, Tsarukyan achieved an impressive victory against the sixth-ranked lightweight Dan Hooker in the main event of UFC Fight Night 265, held in Doha. In the second round, Arman submitted the New Zealander with a choking maneuver, ending the fight early.
