Bear Named Nanar Transferred from Tsaghkadzor Restaurant

The bear named Nanar has been transferred from a restaurant in Tsaghkadzor to a Wildlife Rescue Center. This was reported by the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Values.

Nanar, born around 2003-2004, had been imprisoned for over 10 years in a small, concrete cage at one of the Tsaghkadzor restaurant complexes. Deprived of a natural environment for nearly a decade and a half, as well as any professional veterinary or welfare care, the bear faced severe psychological consequences.

Especially evident was the repeated stereotypic behavior observed in him (endless circling, swaying). According to experts from the FPWC, this behavior directly indicates the deep psychological trauma experienced by the animal due to the absence of necessary conditions and environment.
