Trump Administration Confirms DOGE Shutdown
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has ceased operations eight months ahead of the end of its mandate. This was confirmed for the first time officially by Scott Cooper, director of the Office of Personnel Management, according to Reuters.
"It no longer exists," said Cooper in response to questions about the operations of DOGE. He noted that the organization has not been considered a "centralized entity" in recent months.
The media reports that most of the functions assigned to DOGE have been transferred to the Office of Personnel Management, which is the federal government's primary staffing agency.
