The U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has stated that the ceasefire plan for the Ukraine war, which many critics view as pro-Russian, has been "drafted by the U.S. government," according to BBC reports. His declaration came after a group of senators publicly claimed that Rubio had informed them in private conversations that the draft of the plan, which he characterized as a "wishlist for Russia," does not reflect Washington's official position.

However, Rubio later adjusted his emphasis, asserting that the plan is "based on the views of Russia and Ukraine." He noted that when compiling the document, the interests and positions of both countries were taken into account, aiming to shape a potential framework for peace.
