The top-ranked lightweight in UFC representing Armenia, Arman Tsarukyan, called out the current champion Ilia Topuria following his victory over Dan Hooker via submission at UFC Fight Night 265 held in Doha, Qatar. Tert.am reports this news.

Thank you to Dan; he made it possible for me to fight this year. There was no one else. There’s only one contender… Ilia, where are you? If you are here, come out. Don’t take easy fights. Come fight me. I need to fight for the championship belt. I will be ready by the end of January; send me the contract. Dan is a good opponent with strong striking, but I handled it all calmly. My striking and wrestling are on another level. I will definitely become a champion and break all UFC records. I work very hard and train. I have dedicated my whole life to this. Soon everything will bear fruit,” said Arman Tsarukyan after the fight.

It should be noted that the first round was dominated by Arman, while in the second, Tsarukyan landed numerous strikes to the New Zealander's head before securing the victory through submission.
