EU and UK to Participate in Peace Plan Negotiations and Present Counterarguments
Today in Geneva, the EU and the UK will join the ongoing negotiations surrounding the peace plan. Björn Seibert, an aide to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, has also traveled to Switzerland to present the EU's official stance.
The European delegation has arrived in Geneva with a substantiated document. According to The Washington Post, the EU representatives have brought explanatory materials that include a number of strong counterarguments to the peace initiative presented by U.S. President Donald Trump. The document outlines three main points that, according to the European side, require serious revision.
The UK is also preparing to present its observations, emphasizing that the peace process should be based on the principles of international law and multilateral negotiations.
