Firefighting Efforts Continue in the Chambarak-Ttujur Area: New Details
On November 21, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about a fire that broke out in the Chambarak-Ttujur area, affecting grassy terrain on a sloped section.
Emergency response was immediately organized at the scene. Firefighting efforts involve units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Yerevan, as well as regional departments from Gegharkunik, Lori, Kotayk, and Tavush, along with special units and groups from the Center for Special Rescue Operations.
Specialists worked intensively throughout the night. The fire is under control, and operations are ongoing. Initial reports indicate that the fire is burning in three separate locations of grassy terrain. Firefighters have managed to prevent the spread of flames towards forested and residential areas.
Currently, 243 rescue personnel are participating in firefighting efforts, utilizing 6 firefighting vehicles and operating with 30 operational groups. The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and to follow only official announcements.
