No Rock Demolition Work is Being Conducted in the Hrazdan Gorge, Says City Hall

The underground passage adjacent to the gorge is undergoing renovation, and concurrently, construction debris that has accumulated in the area leading down to the Hrazdan gorge over the years is being removed. As a result, the beautiful view of the Hrazdan gorge's rocks will be even more open and visible.

This was reported to AuroraNews by Ofelia Simonian, the acting head of the Yerevan City Hall Information Department, addressing a video posted on social media by a representative of a tourist company, Artyom Martirosyan. In the video, he was showing how an excavator is carrying out land works and stated, 'They are demolishing the basalt columns of the Hrazdan gorge.'

City Hall officials stated, 'No rock demolition work is being conducted there.'
