Erdogan Issues a Statement

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has declared that all parties involved in the Istanbul process have incurred certain losses over time, which, according to him, necessitates a new and more demanding approach.

Erdogan stated that Ankara has adopted a tough stance, being confident that only in this way can the process be taken out of the deadlock and restored, ensuring broader and more effective cooperation.

He emphasized that not only Turkey but also the partner countries operating in Istanbul are interested in restoring the shortcomings of the process. In the President's assessment, several important issues have fallen off the agenda or have not received comprehensive solutions over the years, and now it is necessary to unite efforts to fill these gaps and give new life to the initiative.
