Sevak Khachatryan Discusses Initiated Proceedings

The candidate for the mayor from the "Victory" alliance, Sevak Khachatryan, stated during a press conference today that he has not been summoned for questioning and that his home has not been searched. During the conference, he addressed the proceedings initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee and the investigative actions that began on November 17.

Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Committee issued a statement indicating that five individuals have the procedural status of defendants in criminal proceedings initiated for receiving, giving, and mediating bribes. Alternative measures not related to detention have been chosen for them.

Sevak Khachatryan noted that he does not even recognize some of these five individuals, suggesting that they might be voters. “Homes have been searched for some people on our council list, including Armen Davtyan, Karen Gevorgyan, Tigran Gevorgyan, and several others. I do not know the others; they might be our supporters who have voted for the 'Victory' alliance. Criminal cases have been initiated, questioning has occurred, and they were released with a signature,” Khachatryan remarked.
