Three Criminal Proceedings Initiated Following Vagharshapat Elections

Three criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding alleged offenses reported during the Vagharshapat community council elections. This information was disclosed to the media by the Armenian Investigative Committee.

We previously reported that the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received 10 complaints regarding alleged violations during the elections in Vagharshapat. According to the Ministry, three reports were filed with the Investigative Committee concerning one case of voting on behalf of another person and two cases of obstructing the exercise of electoral or referendum rights.
