Russian Defense Ministry Issues Statement

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense forces shot down 36 Ukrainian drones over seven regions of Russia during the night.

"From 23:00 on November 16 to 07:00 on November 17 Moscow time, air defense alert systems detected and destroyed 36 Ukrainian drones. Russian forces downed 14 drones in Bryansk region, eight in Tambov region, five in Ulyanovsk region, four in Voronezh region, three in Oryol region, and one each in Nizhny Novgorod and Tula regions.

In response to attacks by Ukrainian armed forces on civilian infrastructure, Russian forces are exclusively targeting military facilities and enterprises of Ukraine's defense industry, using precision-guided aerial, naval, and ground weapons, as well as drones," the statement said.
