Assassination Attempt on Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu

The identity of the high-ranking Russian official targeted in the assassination attempt has been revealed. According to MK, the target of the sabotage group was Sergey Shoigu, the Secretary of the Russian Security Council. The FSB uncovered the terrorist attack but did not specify whom they intended to target.

According to intelligence services, the explosion was planned at the Troyekurovskoye Cemetery in Moscow, near the grave of Shoigu's relatives. The device was intended to be concealed as a camera hidden in a flowerpot.

The FSB has arrested three alleged accomplices: a Russian married couple with a drug dependency and an illegal migrant from one of the Central Asian countries, who is wanted in Kyiv for murder.
