Trump Calls on Israeli President to Grant Pardon to Netanyahu

According to Haaretz, Donald Trump emphasized in his letter that the criminal case against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has political undertones and is unjust. “It’s time to let Bibi unite Israel by granting him a pardon and putting an end to this situation once and for all,” he stated.

In response, Israeli President Isaac Herzog expressed his “deep respect for President Trump” but stressed that any individual seeking a pardon must submit an official request through the proper channels and relevant authorities.

According to The Times of Israel, such a request has not yet been submitted, either by Netanyahu or any of his family members.
