Barcelona President Comments on Messi's Return
Barcelona President Joan Laporta has announced that he was unaware of Leo Messi's unexpected visit but considers it a "spontaneous and Barcelonian move." This was reported by Sport.es.
Laporta gave an interview to Catalunya Ràdio's "El Matí" program, discussing the current situation of the club and Messi's recent visit to Spotify Camp Nou.
"Well, I know how it happened. It was a spontaneous, Barcelonian move. I didn't know about it," Laporta said, adding that Messi can always return because "Camp Nou is his home."
According to him, Messi's gesture was sincere and natural, and it was a pleasant surprise for him. "Our relationship is normal. Here we love him; this is his home, and he knows that. We have always said it is fair that he receives the most beautiful tribute in the world. I think it would be wonderful," Laporta noted.
"We are working to hold events here, and in that context, I would like there to be a tribute for the world's best footballer. I know that would also make him happy. Even though everything did not go as we would have liked, if a tribute can compensate for that, we would be happy," he added.
