Over 1000 Football Players in Turkey Stripped of Playing Rights: Details
The Turkish Football Federation has accused 1,024 players of engaging in betting activities. This information was reported by the federation.
According to the federation's regulations, the players have been summoned to the disciplinary committee. The TFF has postponed matches in the country's third and fourth divisions for two weeks, which includes the majority of the implicated players.
Among those under suspicion in the Super League are 27 individuals, including two players each from Beşiktaş and Galatasaray.
The federation also noted that disciplinary proceedings for 47 players, found to have only a single bet, will be reviewed at a later date based on new evidence and information received from relevant authorities.
It was previously reported that the disciplinary committee of the Turkish Football Federation has temporarily suspended 149 referees for involvement in betting.
