On Stage We Hear One Thing, Backstage Another: Iran's Foreign Ministry
Iran continues to strive for overcoming disagreements surrounding its nuclear program and achieving a peaceful agreement. As reported by TASS, this was stated by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Khatibzadeh at the Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate political conference.
He noted that Iran has not abandoned the Non-Proliferation Treaty as it aims to reach a peaceful agreement. "We intend to achieve a peaceful nuclear agreement," Khatibzadeh mentioned, referring to Israel's military actions and U.S. attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities.
The deputy minister emphasized that Iran will continue to develop its civilian nuclear program, which he considers a matter of national pride. Khatibzadeh also indicated that Tehran is receiving mixed signals from Washington regarding negotiations. "On stage we hear one thing, backstage another," he said.
