A Referendum Will Be Held If Armenia and Azerbaijan Decide to Exchange Territories

“If Armenia and Azerbaijan decide that they should exchange territories, a referendum must be held,” said the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly, Sergey Khandanyan, during a press briefing with reporters.

He noted that a peace agreement is expected to be signed as soon as possible. “However, you also know that Azerbaijan is presenting preconditions, which are not acceptable and legitimate conditions for Armenia,” added Khandanyan.
