Approximately 5500 Traffic Violations Identified
From November 3 to 10, during operations in the capital, Yerevan police identified 5425 violations of traffic regulations, towing 173 vehicles to special areas. Specifically, 207 drivers were found to be under the influence of alcohol, and 227 individuals were driving without a valid driver's license. Violations included 26 related to license plates, 1 vehicle operating with a counterfeit license, 890 instances of driving without seatbelts, 8 cases of operating a vehicle without a child safety seat, 412 instances of smoking while driving, 275 cases of using a phone while driving, 97 instances of pedestrians crossing at non-designated areas, and 1688 other violations. Additionally, 149 vehicles were operated without compulsory insurance (CMTPL), 229 had not passed technical inspection, 84 had malfunctioning headlights, and 100 had tinted windshields and side windows.
Moreover, 96 individuals were arrested on various suspicions and taken to community police departments. In the regions, police identified 13620 traffic violations during the same period, towing 264 vehicles to special areas. There were 224 drivers found to be under the influence, 446 operating without a driver's license, and 6 driving with a counterfeit license. Other violations included 44 related to license plates, 3179 instances of driving without seatbelts, 167 cases of operating a vehicle without a child safety seat, 516 instances of smoking while driving, 612 cases of using a phone while driving, 66 instances of pedestrians crossing at non-designated areas, 2540 speeding violations, and 3290 other offenses. Additionally, 415 vehicles were operated without compulsory insurance, 1038 had not passed technical inspection, 814 had malfunctioning headlights, including 33 trucks, and 164 had tinted windshields and side windows. Furthermore, 42 individuals were arrested on various suspicions and taken to territorial community police departments.
