There Will Be No Turkish Troops on This Soil, Netanyahu on Gaza

Turkish troops will not participate in the multinational forces designated to ensure the security of Gaza. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On October 9th, Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement on the first phase of a peace plan. This plan includes the release of all hostages held in the Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of Israeli troops to agreed positions.

On the night of October 10, Netanyahu's office announced that the government had approved the terms of the deal. The Trump administration presented a draft resolution to the UN Security Council proposing the establishment of international security forces for a two-year term, with the possibility of extension. This was reported on November 4 by Axios, citing documents obtained by the media.

The armed forces will not carry out peacekeeping missions but will focus on protecting the civilian population and humanitarian corridors at the borders of the Gaza Strip, adjacent to Israel and Egypt, as well as on the training of new Palestinian police forces.
