Hamas Issues Statement

The Palestinian Hamas movement has informed mediators that it is prepared to withdraw its militants from areas of Gaza currently under the control of the Israeli army. This was announced by the movement's representative, Ismail Radwan, as reported by Al Jazeera.

According to Radwan, Hamas is ready to remove its forces in accordance with ceasefire agreements that delineate the so-called 'yellow line' marking areas of deployment for Israeli troops. This step, he claims, is aimed at supporting the implementation of the ceasefire process and establishing peace.

However, neither side has officially confirmed the timelines or mechanisms for the withdrawal of forces.
