Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan Sends Letter from Prison

Bishop Mkrtich Proshyan, the detained leader of the Aragatsotn Diocese, has sent his first letter from prison, emphasizing the unwavering strength of faith. He stated that justice may be temporarily distorted by human hands, but God's judgment is eternal and flawless.

“Dear ones, do not be afraid and do not grieve. People can chain the body, but never faith. As the apostle writes, ‘The word of God is not chained,’” he wrote in his letter.

Bishop Mkrtich also urged the faithful to remain steadfast in their faith and not to weaken during times of trial. “Remember, nothing can separate us from the love of Christ—neither sorrow, nor persecution, nor slander. It is this love that binds us together as shepherd and flock,” he noted, concluding his letter with a blessing.

It is worth mentioning that the leaders of the 'Sacred Struggle' movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, Shirak Diocesan Archbishop Mikayel Ajapakhyan, and Garigin Arsenyan, the secretary of the Aragatsotn Diocese, are also in custody.
