What New Demand from Aliyev Has Been Met? Kyureghyan on Pashinyan's Statement

Member of the National Assembly from the "Armenia" faction Armenuhy Kyureghyan stated in an interview with Aysor.am that Nikol Pashinyan "invented a new lie every day to cover up the previous one." According to her, if Pashinyan claims that the Azerbaijani side will return the sovereign territories of Armenia, it means he has promised something in return.

In Kyureghyan's opinion, if Pashinyan's statement were realistic, there would also be information from the Azerbaijani side regarding it. "If it is a negotiation, then it is a dialogue, but we do not hear such statements from Aliyev. Moreover, Aliyev puts a new demand every new day. What demand of Aliyev has been met now, that something is being returned? Aliyev has not said a word about returning; he only talks about getting something. He is a demand-maker only," she stated.

The deputy did not rule out that Pashinyan's announcement could be followed by the cession of Tigranashen and the enclaves to Azerbaijan. "He will give those first, and then we will be waiting for the returns from Aliyev, which I do not think will be realized," Kyureghyan said.

According to her, the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the occupied territories of Armenia should be a precondition for negotiations. "The Azerbaijani army must be withdrawn from our sovereign territory, and only then should negotiations begin to exchange some things. They entered our sovereign territory and now want other things in exchange. This is not negotiation; it is capitulation," the deputy stated.
