The head coach of the Armenian national team, Yegishe Melikyan, has had a conversation with the former captain of the national team and midfielder of Milan's Inter, Henrikh Mkhitaryan. He shared this information in an interview with NEWSam.

"I didn’t say that I would bring Henrikh Mkhitaryan back to the national team; I said I would try and talk to him. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the kind of player that everyone dreams of having in their national team; any nation would want to have him. I have spoken with him, but I haven't met him in person. I will meet him, and in any case, I will respect his decision, whether he decides to come or not," said Yegishe Melikyan.
