Peskov on the Suspension of Negotiations Due to Ukraine

The suspension of the negotiation process due to Ukraine hinders the resolution of the conflict. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President, during an interview.

Peskov noted that currently there can be no talk of mutual trust between Moscow and Kyiv. He emphasized that under such circumstances, it is challenging to achieve real progress in the negotiation process.

Discussing the potential Putin-Trump meeting, the Kremlin spokesperson added that a serious preparatory phase is necessary for such a meeting. “The Kremlin believes that the Budapest summit will be necessary at some point, but it should be preceded by thorough work,” Peskov stated.
