Next Meeting in the '3+3' Format Should Be Held in Azerbaijan, Says Hajizade
The head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ayhan Hajizade, has stated that Azerbaijan was the initiator of the formation of the '3+3' regional platform. This format was created on December 10, 2021, and since then, three meetings have taken place in Moscow, Tehran, and Istanbul.
“At the last meeting in Istanbul last October, we tried to include a point in the final document stating that meetings should be held alternately in Azerbaijan and Armenia, but Armenia opposed this. We believe that the next meeting should take place in Azerbaijan,” Hajizade said.
According to him, serious preparatory work needs to be carried out ahead of the meeting, and an agenda for the event should be established.
