Istanbul Court Bans Ekrem Imamoglu's Father and Son from International Travel

An Istanbul court has ruled to prohibit Hasan Imamoglu, the father of the city's mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, and his son Selim Imamoglu from traveling abroad. The decision was made at the initiative of the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office as part of an ongoing corruption investigation concerning allegations against the mayor related to 'bribery and money laundering'.

The court has also mandated that Hasan and Selim Imamoglu report to the police department for questioning.

According to preliminary investigation data, Selim Imamoglu allegedly made significant money transfers to Croatia to a company that, according to the investigation, belongs to him.
