Zhanna Andreasian Reveals Timeline for Tsitsernakaberd Restoration Completion
The Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, Zhanna Andreasian, addressed the ongoing restoration works at the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex during preliminary discussions of the 2026 state budget in the National Assembly. She noted that the restoration is being conducted under the constant supervision of experts.
“Any citizen interested in seeing the ongoing work can visit the site, even join me, and participate in professional discussions,” Andreasian declared.
According to her, the restoration technology being applied is not new; the same method was used in 2015. “Every step receives approval from the scientific-methodological council,” she emphasized.
Andreasian called for an end to the dissemination of misinformation regarding the memorial complex, assuring that all work is organized so as not to obstruct the flow of visitors. The work is expected to be completed by April 2026.
“Tsitsernakaberd is a crucial memorial for us, and any minor changes there undergo strict oversight,” the minister added.
