What Respiratory Infections Are Circulating: The Ministry of Health Details
Over the past week, a low level of illness caused by acute respiratory infections has been recorded in Armenia. This information was provided by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
“Hospitalizations for acute respiratory infections in medical institutions are at almost the same level as in the previous week, and are lower compared to the same period last year—by 1.2 times. No influenza virus pathogens have been detected in the laboratory tests conducted. Circulating pathogens from other respiratory infections include rhinovirus, parainfluenza, adenovirus, and the coronavirus disease—the SARS-CoV-2 virus,” the statement reads.
To avoid illnesses related to acute respiratory infections and influenza, as well as to prevent complications, we again remind and urge everyone to get vaccinated against seasonal influenza by turning to polyclinics/ambulatory centers or vaccination mobile points,” the message concludes.
