Putin Issues Statement

On the occasion of the Day of National Unity, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the country is ready for new mutually beneficial contacts with foreign partners.

"We are grateful to all those who consider Russia a reliable partner. And we are always open to new, mutually beneficial communication, the development of multilateral ties, and the mutual enrichment of cultures," said Putin.

He added that Russia today, just like in 1612, defends its sovereignty. "Russians are capable of preventing threats, and the unity of the Russian people is undeniable," he emphasized.
