Pashinyan Thanks Aliyev for Lifting Cargo Transit Restrictions for Armenia

Despite all negative comments and perceptions, I want to express words of appreciation towards the President of Azerbaijan, said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The gratitude was for Azerbaijan lifting the restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia through its territory.

“That decision had not been discussed in such volumes beforehand; we knew there was an understanding that one train would come. The perception was about one train, and the statement made by the President of Azerbaijan was unexpected for us,” he stated.

Pashinyan believes this is one of those cases where an unexpectedly positive statement comes from Azerbaijan. According to him, this indicates that there are very significant possibilities for a change in balance.
