Attempt to Assault Suspect in Couple's Murder Case in Aramus

Law enforcement officials have revealed that Marat Yeghiazaryan, a resident of Kamaris village with a previous conviction, attempted to have convicted inmate Tadevos Hovakimyan assaulted at the "Nubarashen" penitentiary, as reported by ArmLur.am.

Hovakimyan is in custody due to the murder of a couple in Aramus village. Under this pretext, Yeghiazaryan demanded a bribe from the relatives of the deceased for the purpose of sending it to the penitentiary.

According to newspaper sources, when the relatives of the deceased learned about Yeghiazaryan's possible actions, they invited him to a restaurant and assaulted him during the conversation.

Documents regarding the incident have been sent to the investigative division of the Armavir Regional Investigative Committee.
