Maduro Accuses the U.S. of Organizing War Against Venezuela
The President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, has accused the United States of attempting to organize a war and coup against his country, aiming to seize Venezuela's natural resources.
"They have tried to organize war, a coup, and steal our huge oil and gas reserves from Venezuela. If Venezuela did not have oil, gas, gold, water, millions of hectares of fertile land, and a strategic geographical position, perhaps nobody would even talk about us," Maduro said during his speech at the closing session of the "Broad Caribbean Basin Parliamentary Forum" held in Caracas.
According to him, the actions of Washington aim to weaken Venezuela's sovereignty and establish control over the region's natural resources.
