Iran Threatens to Respond to Any Israeli Attack
Iran is prepared to respond to any hostile actions by Israel, declared Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
“We are ready for all scenarios and are awaiting any aggressive behavior from the Zionist regime,” he stated in an interview with Al Jazeera. “We are more than prepared on all levels, and in the event of war, Israel will again face defeat,” added Araghchi, warning Israel of “serious consequences.”
It is noteworthy that on the night of June 13, Israel launched a military operation against Iran. Less than 24 hours later, Iran carried out a retaliatory strike. The United States intervened in the conflict nine days later, striking Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
On the evening of June 23, Iran attacked the Al Udeid airbase in Qatar, the largest U.S. military base in the Middle East. Following this, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire, which took effect on June 24.
