Pashinyan's Strong Response to Ktrich Nersisyan's Statements

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has released a video message on social networks, responding to Ktrich Nersisyan's remarks in which the latter referred to the prayers held in Hovanavank as blasphemy. According to Pashinyan, the real blasphemy lies elsewhere.

"Blasphemy is not that, rather it is that the person occupying the throne of the Catholicos has violated the vow of celibacy and, according to some reports, has a child," the Prime Minister stated. He also added that Ktrich Nersisyan has led Armenia's spiritual life into a dead end and has turned the activities of the Catholicosate into financial exploitation, involving "exports, imports, and commerce."
