Trump and Takaiiti Sign New Strategic Agreement

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the signed agreement is a significant step towards strengthening the strategic cooperation between the two countries. “Japan has ordered a substantial amount of advanced military equipment from us. This is a fair and balanced deal that will bring new economic and security opportunities,” he announced.

The declaration was made during a meeting in Tokyo between Trump and Japan's new Prime Minister Sanae Takaiiti. Takaiiti, the country’s first female prime minister, and Trump also discussed regional security issues and plan to visit an American naval base together.

Additionally, the parties signed an agreement regarding the supply of rare and strategic minerals, aimed at reducing dependence on third countries and ensuring stable supply chains.
