Narek Mkrtchyan's Brother Questioned Again

The Investigative Committee of Armenia has again questioned Mgrtich Mkrtchyan, the brother of Narek Mkrtchyan, the Armenian Ambassador to the United States, who remains under house arrest. According to law enforcement sources, new searches have also been conducted in recent days as part of the criminal proceedings. This was reported by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd.'

Recall that Mgrtich Mkrtchyan has been charged with illegal possession of firearms and several articles related to drug trafficking. By court decision, he is under house arrest, which has not yet been lifted.

According to the Investigative Committee's information, the proceedings have been initiated based on several provisions of the Armenian Criminal Code, including articles 335, 393, and 396. The investigation continues, and law enforcement officials do not rule out the emergence of new details.

It is noteworthy that Mgrtich Mkrtchyan is the brother of Narek Mkrtchyan, the Armenian ambassador, and this case has drawn significant public attention in light of his appointment.
